The SavageRun 4″ tube fly is designed to provide an effective, versatile presentation that is easy to integrate into trolling rigs for Great Lakes salmonids.
Mounted on a bullet head, it can be installed in either direction to obtain a standard or octopus presentation, depending on the angler’s preference. The standard presentation offers a more elongated and discreet profile, while the octopus presentation gives the fly more volume and a more aggressive silhouette in the water. SavageRun recommends the octopus presentation for the majority of rigs behind an attractor.
Each fly is hand-tied using a combination of materials selected, tested and proven by professional anglers. The result is a fly that is solid, consistent and adapted to the demands of trolling.
SavageRun flies are used to target Great Lakes salmonids, particularly Chinook, Coho and Steelhead. They can be used on their own, in simple rigs, or integrated into more elaborate rigs depending on depth, season, attractor color and angler’s strategy.
